Bookbubble is made by Performance Improvement Platform LLC in Eugene, Oregon. This page says what we keep and what we don't, in plain words.

Your PDFs

Your PDF is opened and read on your own device. We never upload it, store it, or see it.

What we keep

• Your email address and a scrambled version of your password (we can't read your password).
• The status of your PayPal subscription, such as active or cancelled, and when you're paid through.
• The date you signed up and the last time you opened the app, so we know the app is being used.

We don't sell your information and we don't run ads.

What stays on your device

Your settings, your place in each PDF, and your ElevenLabs key (if you add one) are saved in your own browser. We don't receive them.

ElevenLabs

If you add an ElevenLabs key, the text of the page being read is sent from your device straight to ElevenLabs to turn it into speech, and the same goes for sound effect requests. That happens under your own ElevenLabs account and their terms and privacy notice. If you don't add a key, nothing is sent to them and the voice built into your device does the reading.

PayPal

Payments are handled by PayPal. We never see your card or bank details. PayPal tells us whether your subscription is active.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Deleting your account

Cancel in your account page or in PayPal any time. To have your account and email removed, contact us at augustusjulius.com.
